Definition of Clean Water Treatment (WTP)
A Clean Water Treatment is a clean water treatment system designed to meet the water needs of various industrial sectors, such as the textile, food and beverage, pulp & paper, health (including hospitals), and commercial sectors, such as office buildings, shopping centers, and residential areas.
The raw water source processed in a WTP can come from rivers, lakes, deep wells, shallow wells, and even seawater. The treatment process aims to produce water quality that meets the standards and specifications required by each industry so that it is safe and suitable for use.
The clean water treatment process consists of several stages that must be carried out precisely. These stages begin with raw water intake, followed by pre-sedimentation, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, neutralization, storage in a clear water tank, and finally distribution to a water storage tank.
Each stage can be adjusted to the quality of the raw water and the water quality standards that users want to achieve. However, this series of processes is the basic principle and general method of operation in a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) system.
